We are travelling to Slovakia, enjoy the view of the High Tatras and make a One Shop Stop at Outdoorline!

Peter from Outdoorline has been a friend of mine for many years, he has supported this blog for quite a long time, and they also were along in the 2014 Series of One Stop Shop. Hailing from Slovakia and started in 2012 the shop has grown by leaps and bounds in those 7 years, and nowadays they carry some great brands, like Katabatic Gear, Ruta Locura and Westcomb, to mention just a few. Specialized on ultralight kit for any occasion, here is Outdoorline’s One Stop Shop list:
Total Weight: 4.741
Total Price: 2491,70 €
Price per g: 0,53 €
My thoughts on the list:
-
A complete list with clothes and everything that tops out with a Baseweight of 2.838 g is pretty great (the garments and shoes are 1.903 g)
-
The Quilt might be a bit cold for some, but with a comfy fleece jacket and a toasty puffy jacket you can pimp the sleep setup easily to make it handle colder temperatures
-
Nice to see a SMD shelter in this list, it is a pretty affordable tent that’s also spacious enough to get all your kit in it
-
A solid Alcohol setup for the kitchen, though again I personally don’t like Titanium cups for my ☕️
-
Zajo Bjorn Merino garments are new too me, though these Corespun garments look great
-
Popular choices for the apparel, Cumulus, Montane and inov-8 we have seen quite a few time in this One Stop Shop Series so you know they are light and good
-
Overall an interesting list with some choices which we haven’t seen yet and also some regulars!
Keep in mind that these lists are suggestions! If you are already hiking & backpacking you do not need to buy everything in one go but can replace gear slowly, and this lists merely should show you that you can purchase a complete Ultralight Backpacking Setup from one store. Read Carsten’s take on this list in German at Fastpacking.de.
Disclosure: The One Stop Shop Series was Carsten’s idea back in the day. The 2019 Series we have created together and you can read his take on the different lists in German on his blog, and you can read my take over here in English. Furthermore, we have been remunerated for our time by the individual shops.
